Andrea Schutz

I grew up in Hastings Minnesota where I found my love for music and singing. Went to college at UMD and graduated with a BA in vocal music. Aside from singing you can find me shaking it at a Zumba class or enjoying some good cooking at local restaurants around the cities.

Alto

Tim Mulhair

More than just a pretty face and a sultry baritone, you can find our very own Tim slinging drinks out of MSP - truly the gin to our tonic. When not belting it out on stage, Tim can be found scoring runs with his softball team the Unicorns and making karaoke singers across the Twin Cities second guess their abilities.

Joe Capacete

Joe is in his second year as the fearless leader of the Tune Ups and he sings Tenor. When not leading the squad or writing code,  Joe can be found at the local arcade with skinny jeans and GREAT hair. But sorry ladies, he’s taken.

Konnor Fleming

From mandatory 3rd grade Chorus class through collegiate a cappella, Konnor has been singing his whole life. Featured now as a bass of the group, he is just happy to have the chance to keep making glorified fart sounds. When not with the Tune Ups, Konnor can be found eating Chipotle, making people feel alive at Alchemy 365 in Northeast Minneapolis, and then probably eating more Chipotle.

Josh Schaack

Ever since the proverbial “drop,” this true bass II has been rattling the foundations of concert halls and venues throughout the world. It is legend that when singing Vocal Jazz in Duluth, his mighty bellow was recruited to help communicate with Lake Superior freighters while the Lift Bridge fog horn was down for repairs. True? Maybe... Probable? Absolutely... Between working for the man, frequent trips to the Boundary Waters, and A Capella didgeridoo practice, this oak tree can be found enjoying the outdoors of MN, playing board games, climbing rocks, or crushing the local Karaoke scene. Next time you’re walking down the streets of NE and feel a small earthquake, take a look around because he might be close. Basses unite!

Ben Foster

Ten years ago, Ben dressed as a giant burrito for Halloween, "wearing" a large plastic garbage can covered in tin foil. He discovered two things: (1) restroom breaks with said costume are very difficult, and (2) one can roll quite far down the street if they trip and fall sideways. When he's not singing (and spitting), Ben spends his hours running his recruiting & HR company, and bonding with his crazy little family.

Ben Pollack

Ben grew up singing with the Minnesota Boychoir from 5th grade through high school. He further explored his passion for performance and discovered a love for acapella music while attending Colorado College. He feels blessed to have stumbled across the Tune-Ups while randomly surfing the internet at 3am one night. When not raging on stage, Ben can be found charming middle-aged women as a wait assistant at Spasso in Minnetonka or honing his golf skills in hopes of one day playing professionally.
